Character

A character is the way we bring or portray ourselves through physical and psychological actions. According to Kirszner and Mendell (2007), the actions are developed through speech, gestures, emotions and expressions. Protagonist is a leading character or one of the major characters in a play, film, novel, etc. It is also an important character who is involved in a competition, conflict or cause.
Harry Potter is a character from the series of Harry Potter. He is known as the cursed child of James and Lily Potter. He is the main character of the series which is called protagonist. He is an orphan who appreciates and cherishes friendship more than anything else. He has two best friends, Hermione Granger and Ronald Weasley. They have been friends since the first day Harry entered Hogwarts. Furthermore, Harry is a motivated person because he never gives up on killing Voldermort, the antagonist character of the series who also causes the death of his parents. Moreover, Harry is also very responsible for the things he does. For instance, in the fifth series, The Order of Phoenix, he is responsible to teach a group protester which consists of his friends against their new cruel principal.
Last but not least, protagonist is a character that involves in finding a solution to a conflict. It can be seen through the character of Harry Potter as he does his best to solve all the conflicts throughout the series.

Eid Celebration

Eid Mubarak is the right time for Muslims to celebrate their success after a month of fasting during Ramadan. As for myself, I celebrate Eid every year by visiting my grandparents and my relatives in Johor and also my friends in Kuala Lumpur . One of the specialities during Eid is the invitations to open houses. We cherish every moment by sharing our thoughts and experiences as many of us reside in different states. Moreover, I also celebrate Eid by visiting by visiting my school friends. My friends and I will usually conduct a gathering for our schoolmates. We will bring our own "kuih raya" and many other food such as "Ketupat", "Rendang", and "Lodeh". This is the only time where my friends and I get to gather as a whole since each one of us pursues in distinct tertiary institutions. Therefore, my Eid celebration will be celebrated and cherished by spending more time with family members and friends to strengthen our bond as Muslims.

Eid al-Fitr is a day of great merriment and thanksgiving. Muslims celebrate Eid by gathering with friends and family, preparing sweet delicacies, wearing new clothes, giving kids "duit raya" and putting up lights and other decorations in their homes. As for my family, we do all that every year. It is definitely the most anticipated celebration for my family as that is the only time that my whole family get to gather. Having 10 siblings is surely a challenge when it comes to gathering. Some are married and living somewhere else so it is kind of hard to see 10 of us sit together. For preparation, we will decorate our house as nice as we can. Mom will usually bake cookies and we are going to have like a stack of cookies lying around in the cabinet in kitchen. Very very tasty! Our mandatory cookies for Eid is "kuih samprit". That is the whole family's favourite. No "samprit" no "raya" for us, really! Apart from that, we will do our shopping. Everyone in my family will get new clothes for raya and of course that's one of the best moment of all. Because basically we all love shopping so when it comes to "raya" shopping, we all get really hyped up. How can we not? New things from top to toe! Yayyy! So, what does my dad do during "raya" preparation? He will clean all the mess outside the compound of my house including mowing the lawn. And of course, he will recruit some of my siblings to do the cleaning with him. But not me as I prefer doing chores inside the house. *always make excuses if dad calls me for outdoor cleaning* My family has a schedule for raya preparation like who's going to do chores in or outside the house, who's going to help mom baking cookies and so on and so forth. Me and my family are so excited for Eid this year. Really cannot wait to meet our relatives, friends and neighbours. Eid is one of the times that people can actually meet everyone and apologise, strengthen the bond and as Muslims, what's important is that, on the first day of Eid, we are just like a new better person after utilising Ramadan as well as we can.
